Our lead developer is an Internet Technology graduate with experience in the web development industry spanning 8 years, from website and business development, analysis and design, freelance .Net and .CSS programming to lead developer for a web development and search engine optimisation company based in the UK. All sub-contracted developers are graduates with commercial experience, dynamism and a passion for providing clients with the right product, first time. All deliverables are fully project managed in-house. We hold Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

At Design4Usability, we know that it is essential that your business makes the most of your online investment. We will provide you with advice and ideas that you might not have thought about. We will provide you with as much information as you require and will provide solutions to any situation that you can foresee. We don't however, recommend potentially expensive functionality that we dont think will be of use to your business and there is no obligation to implement any of our advice with your website development plans.

We provide free training*, a fully customised user manual, 1 months free staff support via email and telephone with our content management systems on delivery. We also offer optional ongoing maintenance contracts, charged hourly or annually. At Design4Usability, we constantly monitor industry standards. We will continue to monitor your website after development to ensure that it continues to comply with industry standards. If we notice any issues we will notify you immediately and provide a solution – no obligation. We will let you know about advances in technology that might have an effect on your business through our monthly newsletters. These may be advances that might be detrimental, but may also offer further scope or enhancement to your website. We will let you know when we think your site is due for a ‘health check’ or upgrade. Once again, this is provided as free advice and there is no obligation. We encourage you to shop around. Our approach to search engine optimisation is not just to offer this as an optional extra but to implement the key factors in optimising generic search engine lisitngs during the design and development of websites and content management systems. We can however, offer additional SEO 'top-ups' such as the production and release of online articles and other methods of eMarketing as and when required, for example to coincide with the release of a new product or service etc. We can also provide SEO analysis and provide action plans for your own in-house developers if required.
Yes, our hosting packages range from being completely free to competitively priced. Our hosting provider has recorded a 99.9% uptime and is therefore considered to be reliable.
Yes, we offer optional ongoing maintenance contracts, charged hourly or annually for both brochure websites and content management systems.
Yes, we offer 1 day free training with content management systems on delivery*. We provide a comprehensive user manual with content management systems due to the wide range of functionality that these systems include. We also provide additional staff training charged at an hourly or daily rate.*Due to resources this service is for businesses based in the Midlands region only.
Without question! We will hand over the rights to your website or content management system on delivery.
Where possible, we have listed prices on our website. If a service is fully bespoke or requires more detailed anlaysis it would be wrong for us to display any prices at all - this could be misleading as in these cases prices can vary drastically. A detailed and inclusive price will always be provided before the start of a project so that you know exactly what you are paying for and what the terms of payment are. The only time that prices may vary would be when the original requirement specification has altered during development. This will only happen when you have agreed to the price change in writing. We regularly monitor competitor’s prices to ensure that our prices remain competitive. We will not however, cut corners or compromise quality to undercut a competitor if we feel that their service is inferior to Design4Usability. For this reason, you may not always find that we are the cheapest but we are confident that we offer the most comprehensive packages and best all-round service for the most competitive price.
The payment terms are non-negotiable and are 50% deposit paid in advance at the begining of the development project and then 50% paid prior to delivery. Payment methods can be discussed on a client by client basis. No credit terms are offered for development projects. With regards to hourly and daily rates, these are charged by invoice with the usual 30 days credit facility. Monthly or annual rates are charged in advance.
We think so! We are always happy to speak with you over the telehone or face-to-face if you are based in the Midlands to put your mind at rest. We aim to be approachable and go out of our way not to baffle with science - but please ignore the odd nerdy comment or techno speak - it sometimes does slip out.
